A NOVEL PROCESS SUGGESTION FOR COMPOUNDING OF THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMERIC COMPOUNDS...
(Patent Pending) © Copyright 2007. Due to rising energy costs, processing costs, etc... the authors of this handbook are suggesting a novel process to compound thermoplastic elastomer compounds. Inkjet technology and stereolithography are the "processing" wave of the future. Inkjet technology has recently been cited for use in creating artificial bones. Inkjets (or "materialjets" or "MJ"'S) are envisioned in combination jetting elastomers (e.g., "Calprene", "Solprene", "Pebax", "Kraton", etc.), jetting polypropylenes, jetting mineral oils, and additives as needed in the mix.
